Founded in 1949 as the first new university of the 20th century, Keele University was created to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary learning. It offers an innovative Double Major program, which is chosen by around 70% of its students, together with a choice of single degrees and a multi-disciplinary foundation year. It has a diverse student community of 10,000 students from more than 120 countries. Keele provides students with the opportunity for international experience by offering one-semester study abroad opportunities at around 80 partner universities.
