University Education in the UK: Why Choose?

The UK has one of the most respected higher education systems in the world. Known for its prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London, the UK welcomes thousands of international students every year. Many students from Turkey also prefer to study in the UK because of the quality education and international career opportunities.

Undergraduate study in the UK usually takes 3 years, 4 years for some engineering and health degrees. This is shorter than in many countries and allows students to save time and money. The education system focuses on developing students' analytical thinking and problem-solving skills by combining theory with practice.

In order to study at university in the UK, it is usually necessary to complete a 1-year "foundation" program in addition to a high school diploma in Turkey. Foundation requires a minimum of 11 or 12 years of schooling and at least 4.5 UKVI IELTS.

In order to attend top ranking universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, LSE, you need to have graduated from an internationally recognized high school program such as A level, IB, AP or Abitur. Many other universities consider a high school transcript and high school diploma as sufficient for first year enrollment, provided that you meet the minimum 5.5 Acedemic IELTS requirement.

In addition, for final admission, each university requires a bank statement showing that one year's university fees and one year's living expenses as determined by the government (London: £13347, non-London: £10,234) have been in the parents' or student's bank account for 28 days.

Studying in the UK offers students the chance to open up to the global business world. It is also possible to start their careers in the UK thanks to the "Graduate Route" visa, which allows them to work for up to 2 years after graduation.

Studying at university in the UK offers significant advantages in terms of academic success, cultural diversity, strong career prospects and quality of life. The UK is a great choice to realize your educational goals.
