Nottingham Trent University has three campuses, two in Nottingham and one in the surrounding area. The university, which has approximately 28,000 students, was founded in 1843 and gained university status in 1992. According to the National Student Survey, 93% of students highly recommend the university. In 2018, Nottingham Trent was named 'University of the Year' by Times Higher Education and has a strong reputation for Art, Design, Fashion and the creative arts, and is home to a strong law school.
The university is also known for its sporting achievements and competes strongly in the British University and College Sport leagues. It has recently won significant funding for research into cancer diagnosis and treatment. Collaborating with 50 academic institutions from 40 different countries, Nottingham Trent also offers international study opportunities. 93% of graduates are either employed or continuing their studies within six months of completing their undergraduate degree.
