The University of Hertfordshire is a modern university with strong links to industry, located in Hatfield, about 35 km north of London. It welcomes over 25,000 students from nearly 90 countries and is recognized as one of the UK's most business-oriented universities.

In 2015, it was recognized for its student experience by receiving the Guardian University Award. 95.2% of graduates are in employment or further study within six months of graduation.

The University works closely with industry, particularly in engineering and health sciences. In fact, every British Formula 1 team has a Hertfordshire graduate. It is a preferred training provider for the NHS (National Health Service) in the eastern region of England, particularly with its undergraduate program in paramedic sciences.
