Kaplan International New York

Kaplan International

Located in the heart of New York, Kaplan International New York offers the privilege of studying against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. It serves as a strong starting point not only for students wishing to learn a language, but also for those pursuing career goals, seeking to experience different cultures and wishing to develop themselves within a global environment.

At the heart of the experience offered by Kaplan lies a student-centred and practice-based philosophy of learning. The school’s internal structure is designed to support academic achievement and social integration. From day one, each student’s personal goals are identified, and a one-to-one academic mentoring system is put in place to help them achieve these goals. This system, which monitors progress, identifies students’ strengths and areas for development, and provides tailored support.

The school building meets modern learning standards with interactive classrooms integrated with technology, its own digital learning platform (K+) and quiet study areas set aside for pupils. Furthermore, at the end of the day, students can take a stroll in Central Park, just a few steps away from the building where they study, visit iconic museums such as MoMA, or simply soak up the spirit of New York by watching street performances.

Another standout feature of Kaplan International New York is the strong sense of community it fosters through the social activities it offers. Weekly events organised by the school’s student affairs department include theatre nights, basketball tournaments, tours of the Empire State Building and conversation clubs. This enables students to form friendships with people from different cultures whilst having the opportunity to practise English in a natural setting. A diverse student body, comprising students from various nations, also helps students to develop cultural awareness, tolerance and a global perspective.

Accommodation options are also tailored to students’ needs. Homestay accommodation is ideal for those who wish to experience American culture first-hand by staying with a local family and practise their English in a natural setting. Various options are available, such as single or twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Midtown East Residence is situated in a location close to the school centre and offers modern facilities. With en-suite rooms, communal study areas, a gym and a 24-hour security service, it ensures students enjoy a safe and comfortable stay.

West Side Residence, on the other hand, is particularly suitable for students who want to socialise but also value their personal space. Located in the Upper West Side, this residence offers facilities such as Wi-Fi, a cleaning service and a 24-hour reception.

Kaplan International New York offers an environment where you can continue your language learning journey from the classroom into real-life situations. With its high-quality teaching, central location and programmes tailored to a variety of needs, it is the perfect starting point for anyone wishing to learn English in New York.
