Terms of Use

In effect from

Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and does not constitute legal advice. It is published here for review and is not indexed by search engines.

Who runs this website

This website is operated by HAPPY EDUCATION CONSULTANCY LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.

The registered office is our correspondence address. It is not a place where you can call in to see us. Where a meeting in person is possible, we agree the place with you when we book it.

These terms cover use of the website. If you buy a service from us, our service terms and payment terms apply as well, and those come first if there is a conflict.

Using the site

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

You may read, print and share pages for your own use or to help someone with their education plans. You may not:

  • copy the site or a substantial part of it for a competing service
  • scrape, harvest or bulk download content, or use an automated tool that puts an unreasonable load on the site
  • try to gain access to any part of the site, server or database that is not open to you
  • upload anything harmful, or attempt to interfere with how the site works
  • use the site to send unsolicited marketing, or to impersonate anybody
  • remove or obscure any notice of ownership

If you find a security problem, please email us rather than testing it further. We will take a good faith report seriously and will not pursue anyone who reports responsibly and does not access other people's data.

The information on this site

We write about courses, institutions, fees, entry requirements and application processes. That information is general. It is not advice about your situation, and it is not a recommendation to choose any particular institution.

Much of it comes from institutions and official sources and it changes without notice. Fees rise, deadlines move, entry requirements are revised, and visa rules change. We show a review date on the pages where that matters most. Always confirm anything you are relying on with the institution or the official source before you make a decision or a payment.

Nothing on this site is immigration advice. Our disclaimer explains this in full and it matters, so please read it.

Ownership

The text, layout, design, logo and photographs on this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. The names and logos of schools, universities and other organisations belong to them, and appear here to describe their programmes, not to suggest they endorse us.

If you think something on this site infringes your rights, email us with the page address and a description and we will look into it promptly.

Anything you send us

If you send us a question, review or other material, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use it to answer you and to run our service. We will not publish your name, photo, story or results as a testimonial unless you have agreed to it in writing, and you can withdraw that agreement.

Please do not send confidential documents through a public form. Our privacy policy explains the secure route.

We link to institutions, official guidance and other resources because they are useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Availability

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may change these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, and material changes carry a new date.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses, since this site is provided for personal use.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any of your rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer living outside the UK, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring proceedings there. If you live in Türkiye, our complaints procedure lists the routes open to you.
