About this programme

University of Chester, Chester

A Modern Campus, Comprehensive English Language Training and a Wide Range of Social Activities

The University of Chester summer school enables students to effectively develop their language skills through 15 hours of English lessons per week. It offers a safe accommodation experience with comfortable homestay and en-suite room options. Full-day excursions to Liverpool, Manchester, Wales and Conwy Castle enable students to experience British culture first-hand.

Why the University of Chester?

  • 15 hours of English lessons per week
  • An official course completion certificate at the end of the training
  • Homestay accommodation and single or double en-suite suite options
  • Full-day excursions to Liverpool, Manchester, Wales and Conwy Castle
  • Modern, on-campus facilities
  • A safe location within walking distance of the city centre

Location and Campus Life

The campus is situated in a safe neighbourhood equipped with social facilities, just a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Students come together and socialise in the communal areas; they make the most of the summer term through sport, art and cultural activities.

Training Programme and Events

The programme develops the four core language skills through interactive and communication-focused lessons. Students, who receive 15 hours of English tuition per week, are placed in classes appropriate to their respective levels. Cultural experiences are enriched through full-day excursions organised as part of social activities, and students are given more opportunities to practise their language skills.

Accommodation Options

The school, which offers homestay accommodation, ensures that students stay in a safe environment with a homely atmosphere. Single and twin en-suite room options provide students with a comfortable and peaceful living space. Meals are prepared in a homely setting, and personal needs are taken into account.
