About this programme

Football/Sports Academy Yorkshire

Football/Sports Academy – Yorkshire is a prestigious summer school offering students a combination of sports and English language tuition. The programme is run by St. Giles, and lessons will take place on the campus of Ackworth School in Yorkshire. Lessons, delivered in classes of 15, are supported by interactive and practical activities, aiming to develop students’ skills in both sport and language. Participants can build an international network by interacting with peers from all over the world.

As part of the programme, full-day and half-day excursions are organised; these excursions enable students to discover the historical and cultural riches of the Yorkshire region. Programmes that include accommodation also feature evening activities; film nights, talent shows, pizza parties and team games help students socialise and enjoy a fun experience. At the end of the programme, all participants are awarded a certificate of completion, and their academic and sporting achievements are documented. The Football/Sports Academy – Yorkshire is a comprehensive programme that combines sporting and social experiences.
