Brunel University

About this institution
Brunel University – London
Founded in 1966, Brunel University London is situated in the Uxbridge area of West London and is home to approximately 13,000 students from over 100 countries. Named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of England’s greatest engineers, the university is renowned for its theoretical education, excellence in research and an entrepreneurial approach.
You can reach central London from Uxbridge Underground station in 45 minutes; travel is also very easy thanks to the night bus services. The university’s compact campus brings together halls of residence, social spaces and academic facilities, all within a 10-minute walk of one another.
Thanks to a £300 million investment in the campus in recent years, modern social spaces, teaching buildings, sports facilities and extensive green spaces have been added. The Students’ Union, at the heart of campus life, contributes to students’ social lives through a wide range of clubs and societies. Facilities on campus include a bank, a chemist’s and various shops. Brunel students enjoy a rich university experience, taking advantage of the cultural and social opportunities London has to offer, whilst also participating in the daily excursions and events organised by the university.
