University of Roehampton

About this institution
University of Roehampton – United Kingdom
The University of Roehampton is situated on a spacious, leafy campus in south-west London. Although it gained independent university status in 2004, its origins lie in four teacher-training colleges established in the 19th century. These four colleges still exist within the university structure, and every student is affiliated with one of them.
With students from 110 different countries, Roehampton has an international profile; whilst it has a long-standing tradition in teacher training, it also offers strong academic programmes in fields such as Dance, Biological Anthropology, Drama and English Literature.
The university offers programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in partnership with the Swiss-based Glion Institute of Higher Education, which specialises in hospitality and tourism education. Roehampton also operates in the field of online education, providing distance learning opportunities in subjects such as business and health sciences.
